One of the most versatile and entertaining project-based manipulative is, what I call, the Word Cube. Here's why:
- Word Cubes can be used as a dice printed with instructions directing players to move about a game board. For example, examine the Game Board featured in the guide created for Miriam Glassman's charming CALL ME OKLAHOMA.
- Word Cubes can double as numeric dice like those depicted in the guide for Nancy Bo Flood's amazing WATER RUNS THROUGH THIS BOOK.
- Kids can use Word Cubes to learn about sentence structure as shown in Adam Lehraupt's delightful WORDPLAY.
- And, they're super easy to put together! Just fold and tape.
